|About||Living Hope Community CRC is comprised of a diverse group of individuals united by a common desire to share God’s love within our community.|
Living Hope Community Church is a Christ-centred ministry that upholds the infallibility of the Bible which states that Jesus is the Son of God, died for our sins and is the only way to salvation. Believing that all things are accomplished through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are eager to do God's work in our community.
Along with the doctrines and creeds of the Christian Reformed Church we will prayerfully adhere to the following five purposes of the church:
Worship (to love God with all our heart)...
to build a relationship with God
to passionately desire God's love
to actively seek to please God
to reflect on the Word of God
to praise and adore God
Discipleship (to help people become more like Christ in their thoughts, feelings and actions)…
to equip and empower members to spread the word
to grow in true knowledge of Christ for the purpose of becoming like Him
to develop our gifts and talents
to nurture a growing faith in new believers
Ministry (to demonstrate God's love to others by meeting their needs and healing their wounds in the name of Jesus)…
to use each member's spiritual gifts and talents to build the body
to address the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of those around us
Fellowship (to provide a place of belonging)…
to envelope the lost into a loving, accepting body of believers
to encourage each other to become more Christ-like
to hold each other accountable for spiritual growth and conduct
Evangelism (to communicate God's love)…
to grow new churches through expansion
to actively reach out to the community with the love of God
to build relationships with non- believers
|Description|| Living Hope Community Church was founded in 2002 by a small group of believers in the Russell Area seeing the need for a local church that taught a clear gospel message and the members of which leading lives deeply rooted in Jesus Christ. At the same time, we all belonged to churches outside of our geographic community but felt called to reach out closer to home.
We began meeting for weekly worship and Bible studies on Sunday evenings in Russell. We then decided to meet bi-weekly on Sunday mornings, at the Russell Sport & Youth Center, while attending our other churches on the off Sundays. During the Spring of 2006, we experienced some growth and subsequently changed our meeting location to Community Christian School in Metcalfe, a larger facility. In October 2006, we started worshiping together on a weekly basis and our numbers continue to increase.
God has blessed Living Hope Community Church with a diverse group of people that includes singles, couples, and families with young children, teenagers and adult children. We enjoy vibrant worship together as a community of believers while reaching out to the community around us.
